2. Use the up and down arrows to select item number 2 "START-UP LOAD." Press
the ENTER button.
3. The display will indicate results such as:
- "CURR-VOL" - current value
- "INST-VOL: (minimum value)"
- "INST-VOL > (standard value)"
4. Start the engine in the vehicle (during startup, the measurement value should
be greater than the standard value). The tester will also automatically measure the
minimum value.
5. Press the "ESC" key to return to the main menu.
6. Turn off the engine and remove the terminals (first the negative, then the
positive).
Read the results: if the minimum value is still greater than the standard
value (9.6 for 12V batteries) it means that the starting current is correct.
Otherwise, check the vehicle's starting system.
