Installing the saw blade
Make sure that the saw blade holder is
free of splinters or other material residue.
1. Turn the quick-release lock (8) as far to
the left as possible and hold it firmly in
this position.
2. Insert the saw blade (4.1/4.2/
11.1/11.2) into the chuck (7).
Make sure that the saw blade
(4.1/4.2/11.1/11.2) is attached cor-
rectly and the teeth are pointing in the
cutting direction.
3. Release the quick-release lock (8).
4. Check that the saw blade is secure by
pulling on it.
Removing the saw blade
1. Turn the quick-release lock (8) as far to
the left as possible and hold it firmly in
this position.
2. Remove the saw blade (4.1/4.2/
11.1/11.2) from the chuck (7).
3. Release the quick-release lock (8).
Inserting/removing the
rechargeable battery
Only Li-ion batteries from the
Parkside X 20 V series may be used.
1. To insert the battery (14), push the bat-
tery (14) along the guide rail into the
device. You will hear it click into place.
2. To remove the battery (14) from the
device, press the release button (13)
on the battery and pull the battery (14)
out.
Only insert the battery once
the battery-operated tool is
fully ready for use.
Checking the
charge status of the
rechargeable battery
The battery charge status indicator (15)
signalises the state of charge of the battery
(14).
Press the button (16) on the battery. The
state of charge of the battery is displayed
by illuminating the 3-colour LED lights of
the state of charge display.
3 LEDs light up (red, orange and green):
Battery is fully charged.
2 LEDs light up (red and orange):
Battery has a residual charge.
1 LED lights up (red):
Battery has to be charged
Recharging the battery
Allow a hot battery to cool before
charging.
Only charge the battery (14) when
the red LED on the charge status
indicator (15) is on.
1. Remove the battery (14) from the ap-
pliance, as necessary (see „Removing/
inserting the battery").
2. Insert the battery (14) in the charging
compartment of the battery charger (17).
3. Plug the battery charger (17) into a
mains outlet.
4. When the battery is fully recharged un-
plug the battery charger (17) from the
mains.
5. Remove the battery (14) from the char-
ger (17).
