8.3 Testing the loop (example:
gate/side door opening
detector)
The LED indicator lamp comes on each
time the loop is activated.
To check that gate/side door opening is
detected:
1. press the test button once,
2. activate the door and window detector
(activate the NC contact). The test LED
indicator lamp will come on,
3. de-activate the detector (NC contact
closed). The test LED indicator lamp will
go out.

8.4 Testing the Daitem technical
probes
8.4.1 Simulate the following incidents in
the home:
• flooding: immerse the 2 probe contacts.
The probe will detect flooding 2 sec. later.
• freezer breakdown: place the probe in
the freezer for approximately 1 hour so
that it is at the same temperature as the
food (-18°C). Take the probe out of the
freezer. Roughly ten minutes later, the
probe temperature rises to above -12°C
and it will detect a freezer breakdown.
• freezing: to carry out this test, the
transmitter must not be fixed as the
probe has to be moved. Plunge the probe
into the deep freeze compartment of the
refrigerator. When the probe analyses a
temperature below +5°C, it will detect
freezing.
• mains power failure: leave the multi-
socket connected for 1/4 hour and then
unplug it to simulate a mains power cut.
After 18 min + 20% or 5 h + 20%
(according to the configuration), the
probe detects a mains power cut.
