3. Continue moving the probe into
the test area.
 If an increased concentration of
refrigerant (CO2) is detected,
the alarm will increase in rate
and pitch, and the display will
show an increasing number of
concentric rings, as the concen-
tration of refrigerant increases
(see Fig. 10).

While in Manual mode, if
the IR LD 1.0 alarms before
the leak source is identified,
pressing the reset button will
silence the alarm and reset the
baseline detection level (see
Section 6.4.3).
i
Resetting the alarm and
baseline detection level
allows for moving the probe
through increasing refrigerant
concentration levels until the
source of the leak is found
(refer to Section 6.4.3).

6.5.1
After a potential leak source is
identified, test the source again:
1. Move the probe into fresh air to
reset the baseline (if in manual
mode, press the reset button).
2. Return probe to the potential
leak source to confirm leak
detection.
6.5.2
When a leak is detected, a number
100%
of concentric rings are displayed.
The number of rings will continu-
ously increase or decrease relative
to the concentration of compound
detected (Fig 10).
i
The Leak Size Display is a
relative size indicator. For
example: 2 rings indicate a
larger concentration than 1
ring, 3 rings indicate a larger
concentration than 2 rings, and
so on.
i
When no detectable
compound is present, the
leak-size indicator rings are not
displayed.

To mute the alarm:
