STEP 4: To iron with steam, move the steam control switch to the steam
position (centre).
STEP 5: After use, rotate the control dial to the 'MIN' position and move
the steam lock to the 'OFF' position. Switch off and unplug the iron from
the mains power supply and allow to cool thoroughly.
Note: Allow the iron to fully heat up before using the steam
function; not doing so may cause water to leak from the stainless
steel soleplate.
The temperature indicator light will illuminate whilst the iron
is heating up but not when it is cooling down; it should not be
misinterpreted as a ready-to-use indicator light.
The temperature indicator light will cycle on and off during use to
regulate the temperature.
Warning: Do not use the iron on any area of fabric for long periods
of time, as this will damage the fabric.
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
For removing creases from more sensitive fabrics, try ironing without
steam
STEP 1: Slide the steam control switch to the 'OFF' position.
STEP 2: Plug in and switch on the iron at the mains power supply.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the iron, rotate the control
dial in a clockwise direction until the desired heat setting is reached.
Reduce the temperature by rotating the control dial in an anticlockwise
direction. The temperature indicator light will illuminate to signal that
the iron is heating up; this will switch off once the iron is ready to use.
STEP 4: Test the iron on a small area of the fabric to check that the
selected temperature is suitable; adjust if necessary.
STEP 5: After use, rotate the control dial to the 'MIN' position. Switch
off and unplug the iron from the mains power supply and allow to cool
thoroughly.
