Select the focus adjustment mode.
AUTO: The focus is adjusted automatically.
MANUAL: Adjust the focus manually. Use the FAR/
NEAR buttons on the supplied Remote
Commander to adjust the focus.
Note
Adjust the focus manually by setting MODE to
MANUAL when the noise increases because the gain
level is high or when you shoot:
• a flat subject with low contrast such as a white wall.
• a subject through glass.
• a lateral-striped subject.
• a subject exposed to strong light with an illumination,
reflecting light, etc.
• a subject with a dark background with flashing lights,
such as a night view.
FB ADJUST (Flange back adjustment)
When automatic adjustment of the flange back is
performed, this function performs focus adjustment of
the wide-angle end and the telephoto end of the zoom
lens respectively.
This function also adjusts the flange back and saves the
results so that the focus will be kept even if a zoom
position is changed after adjusting the focus.
Preparation
Place the camera on a flat surface such as table, and
adjust the tilt angle so that the optical axis of the camera
becomes horizontal.
Place an object with a clear contrast such as a chart for
flange back adjustment at a distance of approx. 3 m, and
then adjust the object to be in the screen center at the
telephoto end.
At that time, be sure that any subjects closer than the
objects cannot be projected in the screen of the wide-
angle end.

Reboot the camera after turning OFF the POWER of the

If the flange back adjustment is not performed properly,
perform it again.
Notes
• If the camera and the optical axis of the camera are not
kept horizontally, the flange back adjustment does not
work properly.
• Do not perform the flange back adjustment while the
camera and the optical axis are inclined.
• If you use a low contrast object, and move the camera
and the objects during adjustment, the adjustment
cannot be performed properly.
• Do not touch the camera lens and body until the
adjustment is completed after starting adjustment.
• Be careful that light sources such as a luminaire,
sunlight, or a bright window are not projected in the
image frame during the flange back adjustment.
