Congratulations and thank you for purchasing this Schwaiger Product. This user
manual is an integral part of this product. It contains important information on
commissioning and handling.
This user manual is intended to assist you in using the product. Read through
the instructions for use carefully. Store this guide safely throughout the product's
entire service life and pass it on to any subsequent users or owners. Check that
the supplied package is complete and ensure that none of the parts are defective
or damaged.
INTENDED USE
The product is designed to receive radio stations from the AM/FM frequency band.
In addition, the product has an LED lamp for illuminating the immediate sur-
roundings and an LED reading light. Likewise, a mobile phone or similar can be
supplied with power via the DC power connection. It is intended for private use
only and is not suitable for commercial use. Use the product only as described in
these operating instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may result
in property damage.
The manufacturer or dealer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper
or incorrect use.

GENERAL SAFETY AND WARNING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING!
Risk of electric shock!
• If you use a USB charger, only connect it if the mains voltage of the socket
matches the specification on the type plate.
• Do not operate the product if it shows visible damage or if the power cord is
defective.
• If the USB connection cable of the product is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its after-sales service or a similarly qualified person in
order to avoid hazards.Do not open the housing but entrust the repair to spe-
cialists. Contact a specialist workshop for this purpose. Liability and warranty
claims are excluded in the event of repairs carried out independently, improper
connection or incorrect operation.
• Only parts that correspond to the original device data may be used for repairs.
This product contains electrical and mechanical parts which are essential for
protection against sources of danger.
• Do not immerse the product or the USB charging cable in water or other liquids.
• Never touch the USB plug with wet hands
• Never pull the USB plug out of the charging socket by the USB connection cable,
always grasp the USB plug.
• Never use the USB charging cable as a carrying handle.
• Keep the product away from open flames and hot surfaces.
• Route the USB charging cable so that it does not become a tripping hazard.
• Do not bend the USB charging cable or place it over sharp edges.
• Never operate the product in wet areas or in the rain.
• Never place the product in such a way that it can fall into water.
• Never reach for an electrical device if it has fallen into water. In such a case,
immediately pull the USB charger out of the charging socket.
• Do not expose the product to rain or extreme weather conditions e.g., sub-zero
temperatures, hail, extreme heat.
• Charge the product indoors.
• Make sure that no liquid gets into the product and, if necessary, dry the product
thoroughly before using it again.
• When you are not using the product, cleaning it, or if interference occurs, al-
ways turn off the product and disconnect the USB charging cable from the
charging port.

Continuous listening at high volume can cause hearing damage.
• Prevent damage to health and avoid listening at high volume levels for long
periods of time.
• Always keep a certain distance from the product at high volumes and never
keep your ears directly to the speaker.

tal abilities (for example, partially disabled persons, elderly persons with
reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of experience and knowl-
edge (for example, older children).
• This product can be used by children aged from eight years and above and per-
sons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children
must not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be
carried out by children without supervision.
• Keep children younger than eight years away from the product and the con-
necting cable.
• Do not leave the product unattended during operation.
• Do not allow children to play with the packaging film. Children can get caught
in it while playing and suffocate.

Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the product and battery may cause an explosion
or fire.
• Keep the product away from water, other liquids, open flames, and hot surfaces.
• Keep a distance of at least 5 cm from easily flammable materials.
• Only charge the product with the accessories supplied.
WARNING!
Hazard due to batteries!
• If you use batteries improperly, there is a risk of explosion or burns from leak-
ing battery fluid.

• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Disposing of a battery in fire, in a hot oven,
or mechanically crushing or cutting a battery can cause an explosion.
• Do not expose batteries to unrestricted sunlight and heat. Increased risk of
leakage!
• Do not disassemble or short-circuit the battery. Danger of explosion!

• Make sure that the product is switched off after use.
• If you suspect that a battery has been swallowed or otherwise entered your
body, seek medical attention immediately.
• Do not touch leaking batteries. If you do come into contact with battery fluid,
wash the affected area thoroughly with plenty of clean water. If leaking bat-
tery fluid causes a skin reaction or gets into the eyes, seek additional medical
attention.
• If the battery compartment in which the battery is housed can no longer be
closed securely, stop using the product. Remove the battery and keep it out of
the reach of children.
RADIO OPERATION
TUNING
Rotate the tuning knob to select channel. Tuning indicator will turn on when a
channel is properly selected.
VOL +/-
Rotate the VOL +/- knob to adjust the volume.
LIGHT ON/OFF/SOS
Adjust the LIGHT ON/OFF/SOS button, to turn the LIGHT ON/LIGHT OFF/SOS.
OFF/FM/AM/WB
Select OFF/FM /AM /WB with BAND selector. Extend the antenna to get better
signal.
LED READING LAMP
Pull the solar panel (on the top)to turn on the reading lamp.
POWER YOUR RADIO
Before you power your radio, make sure to read the SAFERY INSTRUC-
TIONS.
1. SOLAR POWER
• Place solar panel in direct sunlight.
• It is difficult to fully charge the unit with solar panel, which is mostly used for
maintaining the battery.
• Do not charge the radio in a hot area such as a car. It is also advisable to turn
the radio off when charging.
NOTE:
The solar panel has a lifespan of more than 25years when used for 6
hours per day.
2. DC IN 5V CHARGING
• To charge the radio, insert the supplied USB cable into the USB power source.
Plus the Micro USB connector into the input port on the side of the radio.
• The charging indicator will flash red as the battery charges. It takes 2.5 hours
for the internal 18650 LI-ION battery to be fully charged.
• When completely charged, the battery will deliver 11-12 hours of radio play(de-
pending on the sound volume) or 41 hours of flashlight, and 48hours for
Reading Lamp.
3. HAND CRANK
• Unfold the handle from the backside of the radio and rotate it in either direction.
• Turn the hand crank for 5 minutes to activate the internal battery for initial use.
• Five minute of winding gives 15-20 minutes of radio play (at maximum volume),
2 hours of Reading Lamp, and 1.41 hours of Flashlight.
4. BATTERIES
• This radio can also be used with 3 pieces of AA batteries (not included).
• Remove battery compartment cover (at the back), and insert 3 x AA batteries
into the compartment. Ensure the negative(-) end is placed against the spring.
• Replace the battery compartment cover and push the battery switch in ‚AA'
position to turn the radio on.
• If the batteries are not used for a long time, remove and discard them.
CHARGE EXTERNAL DEVICES
• Push the battery switch in „LI-ION" position (in the front). You can also charge
USB devices by loading 3pcs of batteries on the radio or by cranking at a speed
of 130-1 50RMP/min.
• Insert the USB cable into the USB output port on the side of the radio and
connect to the devices.
• The radio will go into charge mode and help to charge your devices.

MAINTENANCE & CLEANING
NOTE!
Short circuit hazard!
Water or other liquids entering the housing can cause a short circuit.
• Never immerse the product in water or other liquids.
• Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the housing.
Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the product may result in damage to the product.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or
sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas, and the like.
These can damage the surfaces.
1. Clean the product with a soft, dry cloth.
2. If the product is stubbornly dirty, use a slightly damp cloth and a little mild
detergent if necessary.
3. Allow all parts to dry completely afterwards.
Storage
All parts must be completely dry before storage
• Always store the product in a dry place.
• Store the product out of reach of children, securely closed and at a storage
temperature between 5 °C and 20 °C (room temperature).

Disposal
Do not dispose of batteries or electric and electronic devices in the normal
household waste. The consumer is legally obliged to return electrical and
electronic devices and batteries that are at the end of their useful life to
the point of sale or public collection points that have been set up for this purpose.
Legislation in the country of use governs individual details regarding disposal.
The symbol on the product, the user guide or the packaging indicates this legal
requirement.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be
disposed of with household waste!
As a consumer, you are required by law to return all batteries and
rechargeable batteries, whether they contain harmful substances* or
not, to a collection point in your municipality / district or in the trade, so
that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Return the product completely (with the integrated battery) and only in
discharged condition to your collection point
