– Discontinue use of the scale if its plastic components have any
cracks, flaws or deformations. Only replace damaged compo-
nents with suitable original spare parts.
– Store the scale in a dry, cool place.

Mishandling of the batteries may cause gas leakage, electrolyte
(battery fluid) leakage, fire or explosion.
– Ensure the correct polarity when inserting the batteries.
– If necessary, clean the battery and device contacts before insert-
ing the batteries.
– Do not short circuit the batteries.
– Do not recharge the batteries. Attempting to charge non-re-
chargeable batteries can lead to overheating and cause a fire.
– Store unpacked batteries in such a way that the battery contacts
do not touch in order to avoid short circuiting. Ideally, keep the
batteries in their original packaging.
– Keep unpacked batteries away from metal objects to avoid short
circuits.
– Do not take the batteries apart.
– Never attempt to modify the batteries.
– Do not crush, deform or make any holes in the batteries.
– Do not throw the batteries into an open fire.
– Do not heat the batteries or carry out any welding or soldering
work on them.
– Do not expose batteries to unrestricted sunshine or heat.
– Do not allow the batteries to come into contact with water.
