12.
Maintenance and maintenance diagram
CAUTION: Never carry out maintenance work on a working/rota ng fan! Always disconnect from
mains power supply before maintenance work.
During all maintenance of the fan:
•
the mains voltage has to be switched off .
•
the power circuit has to be disconnected an secured against reconnec on.
•
all rota ng parts have to be brought to a complete stands ll
•
all safety and work regula ons have to comply with EN 50110-1 en EN 1010-1.
•
all work has to be carried out by qualifi ed personnel (according to EN 50110-1 en EN 1010-1).
Servicing:
•
Cleaning the fan regularly extends the life me of the fan.
•
Rou ne maintenance and cleaning should be carried out at least every 6 months.
•
Let the fan run at full speed for at least 2 hours a month, to evaporate humidity that may have penetrated and to
prevent corrosion of the bearings.
Cleaning:
•
Before cleaning, close the condense opening in the motor using the condense plug.
•
Check the fan and air lines regularly for contamina on.
•
Use a damp cloth or a dry brush to clean the fan.
•
Do not use aggressive detergents
•
Prevent water penetra ng the motor or electric installa on.
•
A er cleaning remove the condense plug at the lowest point of the fan.
•
Let the fan run at full speed for at least 2 hours, to evaporate humidity that may have penetrated and to prevent
corrosion of the bearings.
Bearings:
•
The bearings are maintenance-free. The life span of the bearings is, with normal use, approx. 30,000 hours. A er
this period the bearings must be replaced.
•
Regularly check the condi on of the bearings by rota ng the impeller manually. It must turn smoothly and
without noise.
V-belt
•
Check V-belt on a regular basis according to the subjoined fi gure.
•
Should the V-belt not be ght enough, ghten the belt as shown in picture 13 to 16 on page 12 un l the desired
tension according to below fi gure is realized.
•
Should adjustment not be possible anymore, replace the V-belt. Use an original V-belt!
