Prior to recharging the system, it shall be pressure-tested with the
appropriate purging gas. The system shall be leak-tested on completion of
charging but prior to commissioning. A follow-up leak test shall be carried
out prior to leaving the site.
If the refrigerant pipes are longer than the maximum pipe-length allowed
for the outdoor unit precharge, you need to add refrigerant. You can
calculate the quantity of refrigerant to be added with following formula:
Q = A x (L - 7)
Q = quantity of refrigerant to add
A = additional refrigerant charge per meter
L = refrigerant pipe length
7 = maximum refrigerant pipe length with pre-charge

Important
Respect the maximum refrigerant charge for the system.

Check the length of the refrigerant connection pipes. Depending on their
length, add the required quantity of refrigerant.
1. Turn off the air conditioner.
2. Close the gas line.
2
3. Remove the protection cap from the refill valve.
4. Install the refill bottle with pressure gauge and open the gas line.
4
5. Start the refilling process.
6. Stop refilling at the desired and necessary pressure and close the gas
line.
7. Screw the protection cap back on the refill valve.
8. Open the gas line.
9. Check that there are no leaks on the circuit or the refill valve.
