Reheating hardened fat in the deep fat fryer
If the fat in the deep fat fryer has become hard, it is difficult
to know how much it has already melted down at the heating
element.
•
Turn the thermostat slowly up until the control lamp shows
that the heating is working.
STOP! Do not turn any further! The heating will now
slowly heat up the fat.
•
A short time later the heating switches off again.
•
Turn the heating on again by readjusting the thermostat.
•
Repeat the process until the fat has melted.

This deep fryer is equipped with adjustable thermostats (4) so that
the temperature can be adapted individually to the food being fried.
The optimal and safe use of the deep fryer requires that the
use instructions be read carefully.
Electrical Connection
Connected Wattage
In total the double deep fryer can consume up to 2000 W. With
this connected load a separate supply line protected by a 16 A
household circuit breaker is recommended.
The fryer must be connected to a properly installed 230 V~,
50 Hz socket with earthing protection.
CAUTION: OVERLOAD
Do not use any extension leads or multiple sockets as
this device is too powerful.
Putting into use
Before using for the first time
1. Remove the packaging. Remove the lid from the deep fryer.
The frying baskets (7) are in the fryer. Take all of the objects
out of the fryer.
2. We recommend cleaning the lid (9), housing (8), container (6)
and frying baskets (7) as described under „Cleaning".
3. Push the control device (5) into the guide mechanism as
necessary until it is firmly in place.

Introduction
Useful hints for use
1. Always remove the food remaining in the oil (e.g. pieces of
French fries). Change the oil after using it 8-10 times. Use
high quality frying oil or frying grease.
2. Fats and oils must be heatable to high temperatures. Do not
use margarine, olive oil or butter: they are not fit for frying,
because they start to smoke already at low temperatures. We
recommend the use of liquid frying oil.
WARNING: DANGER!
•
It is essential to change the fat / oil regularly.
•
Do not use any frozen food containing ice!
•
If food containing too much moisture (e.g. chips
containing a lot of ice etc.) is used, there is a strong
tendency to form foam, which in the worst case may
cause the hot fat / oil to overflow and result in injuries.
3. In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing
starch (potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-fat
frying should not exceed 170° C (or possibly 175° C). Further-
more, the frying time should be kept as short as possible and
the food only fried until it turns golden yellow.
4. Please note that the safety switch (1) is operated when the
control element is inserted into the guide mechanism.
5. Choose the right frying temperature and check the conditions
of the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods
require a higher temperature than raw foods.
6. Do not carry or move the deep fryer if the oil or grease is still
hot.
7. When frying dough-like foods scrape off the excess dough and
put the pieces carefully into the oil.
8. Please ensure that the handle(s) on the frying basket(s) has/
have been properly tightened.
•
Press the ends of the wire together at the free end of the
handle.
•
Insert the brackets into wire hoops inside the basket.
•
The deep fat frying basket must not be more than 2/3
full. Do not overfill the frying basket (The maximum filling
quantity for chips is 200g per litre of oil/fat).
9. Rub dry humid foods with a cloth before frying.
WARNING:
In the case of foodstuffs which are too moist (e.g. frozen chips
etc.) large amounts of foam may form, which under certain
circumstances may cause the oil to overflow.
Use
1. Make sure that the appliance is unplugged and switched off
(The control lamps (2+3) are off.).
2. Take the lid off the deep fryer.
3. Remove the frying baskets and fill oil or fat into the container
(not more than 4,0 l). The filling level must be located between
the minimum and the maximum level
4. Insert the plug into a 230 V~, 50 Hz power socket. The red
POWER control lamp (2) lights up. Set the thermostat (4) by
turning it to the desired temperature. Place the lid back in posi-
tion.
