housing partially exposed for extended periods, providing
sufficient motor cooling and bearing lubrication. However,

CAUTION
!
Before working on the pump, always
unplug the pump power cord in addition to removing the fuse or
shutting off the circuit breaker.
This unit is permanently lubricated. Oiling is not required.
Do not, in any case, open the sealed portion of the unit
or remove housing screws.
1. The motor housing of the pump is completely sealed and
requires no service.

NOTICE

Disassembly of the motor housing or
alteration of the power cord voids all warranty.
2. LET PUMP COOL FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 HOURS BEFORE
ATTEMPTING TO SERVICE.
3. Check the power cords and electrical outlet for
damage or corrosion.
a. The power cord on these units cannot be replaced.
In case of damage, the whole unit must be replaced.
4. Periodic cleaning of the pump parts will prolong the life and
efficiency of the pump. Remove the four screws holding the
base to the motor housing and clean the impeller. Do not use
strong solvents.

CAUTION

Removal of the impeller requires special tools and is to be
done only by an authorized service center.
b. Be sure the impeller turns freely after cleaning.
c. Attach the base to the motor housing and secure it
with the four screws.
