WARNING
The first time you use this fireplace you may notice a slight odor. This is a normal condition
caused by the initial heating of the internal parts and will not occur again later.
WHAT TO DO IF THE FIREPLACE IS MALFUNCTIONING? If this fireplace is dropped or damaged
in any way, discontinue use IMMEDIATELY.
HOW TO PREVENT FIRES?
ALWAYS keep 1 meter (1m.) away from the area where the heater is located: electrical cables,
upholstered furniture, curtains, clothing, paper or other fuels. Also do not place it near a bed,
objects such as pillows or blankets that can come into contact and catch fire.
Do not block the air inlets or outlets in any way.
This appliance should not be placed immediately below a power outlet.
Keep all flammable liquids, such as gasoline or paint, away from this heater. This fireplace
produces arcing sparks that could easily ignite them.
AVOID ELECTRICAL DAMAGE!
NEVER run power cord under rugs, rugs, runners, or any other covering. Doing so could
overheat the cable or the materials covering it.
Avoid plugging other appliances into the same outlet as this heater.
ONLY use this heater on a 220-240 volt, 10 amp grounded circuit. AVOID overloading the
circuit. If this fireplace generates a load at the fuse box, unplug all other appliances on the
same circuit before using it again.
Plug the heater into an outlet that is on the same wall so an extension cord is not needed.
Should you need one, check that the wire gauge is at least 16 AWG, and the rating must be at
least 2000 watts. NEVER connect with a smaller gauge or lower rated cable.
NEVER plug this fireplace into an old or cracked outlet. If you plug it into a faulty one, you
could cause an electrical arc inside it and cause it to overheat or catch fire.
OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS
i) MAKE SURE the plug fits snugly into the outlet!
ii) Heaters draw more current than small appliances. Overheating can occur even if it has not
occurred with the use of other appliances.
iii) Do not burn wood or other materials in the electric fireplace.
iv) Do not hit the transparent door panel.
v) Always use a licensed electrician if new lights, circuits or plugs are required.
TEMPERATURE LIMIT CONTROL
This fireplace is equipped with a control that limits its temperature. If it reaches a level of heat
that it considers dangerous, it will turn off automatically.
