m ATTENTION! Danger of burning! Wait until the device
has cooled down before cleaning or maintenance.
m ATTENTION!
Take any contaminated maintenance material and op-
erating materials to a collection point designated for this
purpose.
Clean the air filter (Fig. 3 - 5)
If the engine operates frequently in dusty or other se-
vere circumstances, clean the air filter element every
10 hours. Clean the air filter element at least every 50
operating hours.
Please also refer to the service information.
Clean the air filter (e) regularly, replace if necessary.
• Open the engine cover (19) by loosening the Phillips
screw (a).
• Loosen the Phillips screw (d) and remove the air fil-
ter cover (c).
• Remove the filter (e).
• Do not use harsh cleaners or petrol to clean the filter.
• Clean the elements by knocking them out on a flat
surface. If heavily soiled, wash with soapy water, then
rinse with clean water and allow to air dry.
• The re-assembly takes place in reverse order.
Spark plug (Fig. 3, 4, 7)
Check the spark plug for dirt for the first time after 20
operating hours and clean it with a copper wire brush
if necessary.
Then service the spark plug every 50 operating hours.
• Open the engine cover (19) by loosening the Phillips
screw (a).
• Then loosen the spark plug cover (20)
• Pull off the spark plug connector (b) with a twisting
motion.
• Remove the spark plug with the enclosed spark plug
wrench (17).
• Assess the condition of the spark plug:
- If there are heavy soot deposits on the contacts,
contact a specialist or the manufacturer's specified
service address.
- If there are slight deposits, clean the contacts care-
fully with a copper wire brush.
- If necessary, replace the spark plug with a spark
plug of the same type (see technical data).
- The distance between the electrodes should be 0.6
- 0.7 mm. Adjust it with a screwdriver if necessary.
• The re-assembly takes place in reverse order.

Fuel filter (Fig. 6)
Note: The fuel filter (f) is a filter cup which is located
directly under the tank cover (2) and filters all the fuel
filled in.
• Move the ON/OFF switch (10) to the "OFF" position.
• Open the tank cover (2).
• Remove the fuel filter (f) and clean it with non-flam-
mable solvent.
• Re-insert the fuel filter (f).
• And then close the tank cover (2).
Changing oil (Fig. 3 - 5)
If the petrol engine operates frequently under high tem-
peratures or high loads, change the oil every 25 oper-
ating hours. It is recommended to replace the oil after
20 operating hours after commissioning, then every 100
operating hours.
The engine oil change should be carried out while the
motor is at operating temperature.
m ATTENTION! Drain petrol before changing oil.
Only use engine oil (10W30 / 15W40).
• Always set up the device on a level and stable sur-
face.
• Open the engine cover (19) by loosening the Phillips
screw (a).
• Open the oil filler plug (21) and drain warm engine oil
by tilting the generator into a collecting container with
a capacity of at least 1 litre.
• Fill up engine oil (approx. 0.25 l)
• Close the cover (19) and tighten the Phillips screw
(a) again.
Automatic oil cut-off
The automatic oil cut-off system responds when there
is too little engine oil. The oil indicator light (7) starts
flashing when there is too little oil in the engine. The in-
dicator lamp starts to light up when the oil quantity has
not reached the safety quantity. The engine switches
itself off after a short time. It is not possible to start the
engine until the engine oil has been filled (see chapter
"Changing oil").
