TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM
Unit will not create a spark.
Spark but not lighting.
Pilot will not stay lit.
Pilot stays lit, but main burner
will not ignite.
Main burner goes out
periodically.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. Spark electrode broken.
2. Igniter wire may not be
attached to spark electrode.
3. Ground wire may not be
attached to frame.
4. Igniter wire damaged.
5. Piezo igniter defective or
broken.
1. No propane to heater.
2. Pilot is blocked from spider
web or dirt.
1. New cylinders and tanks need
fuel line purged of air.
2. Pilot flame not surrounding
thermocouple.
3. Pilot flame too small to reach
thermocouple.
4. Tip-switch is activated.
5. Location is too windy.
1. Main burner orifice is blocked.
2. Location is too windy.
1. Pilot is partially blocked.
2. Oxygen Depletion Sensor
(ODS) is sensing low oxygen
level.
