To open the bypass valve, open the locknut (A) ¼–½
turn counterclockwise and then the valve screw (B) 2
turns counterclockwise.

Introduction

Daily maintenance before use
Make sure that nuts and screws are tightened.
Make sure that there are no fuel or oil leaks.
Clean the product.
Clean the inner surfaces of the cutting deck.
Clean the engine and the muffler.
Make sure that the cold air intake of the engine is not blocked.
Make sure that the safety devices are not defective.
Examine the blades in the cutting deck.
Examine the cutting deck for damages.
Examine and do a test of the brakes.
Do a check of the engine oil level.
Do a check of the transmission oil level.
Make sure that the high beam light and the work light operate correctly.

O = The instructions are not given in this operator's manual. Let an approved service agent do the maintenance.

To close the bypass valve, close the valve screw (B)
and tighten to 8 Nm and then tighten the locknut (A)
to 30 Nm.
