Initial operation
Danger!
Observe the Installation site requirements described in chapter 5.1.
Caution!
Do not leave children unattended in the vicinity of the device.
Risk of burns or injury!
High temperatures are generated during operation of the induction unit.
5.1
Installation site requirements
- Place the induction unit on stable and flat surfaces only. As well, take into account the weight of the
cooware/serving dishes including the food.
- Place the induction unit on heat-resistant surfaces only, but not on metallic surfaces, as these may heat up
due to the heat generated by the appliance. Do not place tablecloths, table mats or other not heat resistant
objects under the appliance.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
- Do not place the appliance near or on hot surfaces (heaters, hot plates, or other heat sources). Make sure
there is enough space next to and above the appliance (approx. 10 cm to all sides).
- Keep a safe distance from easy flammable materials such as napkins, tablecloths, etc.
- Ensure that the power cord does not have any contact to hot surfaces at the device or other hot surfaces such
as hot plates or hot liquids. Make sure it does not pass over sharp edges and is not kinked or bent.
- Also ensure that the power cord does not hang down from the table or worktop so that no one can trip over it
and cause the appliance to be pulled down.
5.2
Before the first use
- Read the instructions and safety guidelines carefully before using the appliance.
- Remove all packing materials and make sure that all parts as in chapter 8 Scope of delivery are present and
in proper condition.
- Wipe the induction unit with a soft, slightly moistened cloth only. Dry it off thoroughly afterwards.
- Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, gasoline, solvent, scrubbing brushes, or abrasive cleaning agents
for cleaning.
5.3
Cookware/Serving dishes
We recommend using SPRING induction cookware or Chafing Dishes from the CBS range. These are optimally
suited for the induction unit.
Other cookware must meet the following requirements:
- The cookware must be magnetic.
- The bottom must be flat and level.
- The diameter should be at least 12 cm and 26 cm as maximum.
Cookware made of the following materials can be used on the induction unit:
- Iron
- Stainless steel 18/0
- Cast iron
- Enamelled cookware of iron or steel
