screws (4);
2. Insert the parallel guide scale (3)
supporting base hole (13);
3. Tighten the fixing screws;
3.3 - BLADES ASSEMBLY
AND REPLACEMENT (FIG. D)
Remove the battery and wear
protective
gloves
assembling the blades.
Select a blade that suits the type of
work to be performed:
 Always use sharpened blades to
obtain better results;
 The blades with larger spacing
between
teeth
produce
aggressive cuts, but less accurate than
thinner teeth blades;
 Use thinner teeth blades for smooth
and precise cuts;
 Use smaller blades for round cuts;
 For plastic, aluminium and steel use
thinner teeth blades;
1. Place the blade pendulum movement
selector (6) on position 3;
2. Press the blade lock (15) towards the
jig saw into the quick coupler (16) with
the teeth pointing forward;
3. Release the blade lock;
4. Pull the blade to check if it is
properly placed;
5. To remove the blade, press the blade
lock and pull it;
3.4 - CONNECTING THE
JIG SAW TO A VACUUMING
SYSTEM (FIG. E)
To keep the working area clean, use the
vacuuming device adapter.
1. Insert the vacuum cleaner accessory
26
for tools connection (20), into the
vacuuming device adapter (12);
2. Insert the vacuum cleaner hose into
the tools connection accessory;
3. Always connect the vacuum cleaner
before starting the jig saw;
4. OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
while
The jig saw was conceived to perform
cuts in wood, metal and plastic, using
proper blades for each type of material.
When operating the equipment, some
precautions must be considered:
more
 Always use sharpened blades.
Replace them immediately in case of
being damaged or warped;
 Make sure that the blade protection
cover is in its place during the cutting
work;
 Never hold the cutting piece with the
hands nor place it over the legs. Put it
over a stable surface. It is important
that the work piece is well fixed;
 Make sure there are any obstructions
on the cutting surface nor underneath
the work piece;
 When cutting wood lengthwise,
always use the guide. This way, the
cutting accuracy improves and the
chances of blade blockage will reduce;
 Do not try to cut pieces with thickness
greater than the cutting capacity of the
blade and where there is not enough
space to allow the course of the blade;
 Do not apply to much pressure over
the jig saw against the work piece. If the
speed decreases abruptly, the pressure
applied must be reduced immediately;
 Do not turn the machine on if the
blade is touching the work piece. Only
lean the blade against the work piece
after the maximum rotation speed is
reached;
 When resuming the cutting operation,
centre the blade over the existing
cut and make sure the blade's teeth
aren't touching the work piece and the
maximum speed is reached;
 After turning the machine off, the
blade will continue running for a short
period of time. Do not remove the jig
saw from the work piece before the
blade is completely stopped;
4.1 - PARALLEL GUIDE
REGULATION (FIG. F)
The parallel guide (1) is used to ensure
the execution of a cut parallel to the end
of the work piece.
1. Untighten the fixing screws of the
parallel guide (4);
2. Adjust the guide according to
desired cutting width. The cutting width
value is shown by the supporting base
notch (13), on the parallel guide scale
(3);
3. Tighten the fixing screws;
4.2 - CUTTING INCLINATION
REGULATION (FIG. G)
The cutting inclination can be adjusted
between 0° and 45° with two distinct
directions.
1. Remove the battery (11);
2. Untighten the fixing screws and
remove the supporting base cover (14);
3. Remove the vacuuming device
adapter (12);
4. Untighten the supporting base fixing
screw (21);
5. Adjust the supporting base sprocket
wheels in the sprocket wheels of
the jig saw, according to the desired
inclination. Check the angle value in the
cutting angle scale (15);
