ASSEMBLY OF THE DEVICE
ATTENTION: before using the product, please read the safety instructions carefully,
as a malfunctioning product must not be used for safety reasons!
The product is delivered assembled, but before use:
•
Remove the protective film from the outer and inner lenses.
Adjust it according to the requirements of the work process and the
•
individual needs of the operator.
Check if the battery installed in the filter is functional. The filter cartridge
•
lasts approx. 5,000 working hours being powered by a battery and solar
cells - if the low battery light (f) comes on, the filter may malfunction, so
the worn battery should be replaced immediately.

Working with the device
3.3.1
Filter sensitivity adjustment (SENSITIVITY)
The sensitivity of the ADF filter should be adjusted according to the
welding process and the lighting in the workplace.

Grinding mode (GRIND)
The product can also be used to protect the operator's face while
grinding. Turning the destination selector switch (c) to the "GRIND"
(grinding) position deactivates the automatic dimming of the filter if
bright sparks appear during operation.
3.3.4
Setting the lens response delay time (DELAY)
It is possible to set the delay time after which the lens will fully
brighten when welding is completed. The available range is adapted
to most welding operations.
Low sensitivity ("Lo") is suitable for welding with high amperage
and in areas with lots of natural sunlight.
Medium sensitivity (about half the scale) is suitable for most
indoor as well as outdoor welding.
High sensitivity ("Hi") is provided for low-current welding and
low-light areas, especially for low-current argon arc welding.
Set the dimming level of the "SHADE" filter from the available
range (a).
Press the lens function test button (g) and see if it dims.
Release the lens action test button (g) and check if it brightens.
