Connecting ultrasound system
Turn off the ultrasound system.
The mini-dock may not function properly if you connect the system while the
power is on.

Raise the system locking lever.

Slide the system into the MDSm.

Lower the locking lever to secure the system.
Note: If at any time the ultrasound system should lose connectivity, turn off the
system and reattach the mini-dock and system.

Turn off the ultrasound system.

Close the lid on the ultrasound system.

Lift up the locking lever and remove the ultrasound system.

Lock the wheels and remove the back panel.

Ensure that the pre-routed DC power cord (A) is connected to the mini-dock
and that the pre-installed AC power cord (I) is connected to the power strip.

Connect the system AC power cord (K) to a hospital-grade electrical outlet.
To avoid the risk of electrical shock or injury, an isolation transformer must be
installed on the MDSm when the following conditions exist:
• More than two accessories or peripherals are used.
• Both color and black-and-white printers are used.
• Sony DVD recorder is used with any other accessory or peripheral.
Contact SonoSite or your SonoSite representative for specific information on the
combinations of accessories and peripherals that require installation of an isolation
transformer.
To avoid potential injury, do not touch the squared edges on the upper columns.
The squared edges may be sharp.
To avoid damaging the system, use only peripherals recommended by SonoSite
with the ultrasound system.
