4.4.
Special safety instructions for exhaust air opening and inspection hole (optional)
4.4.1.
Safety note
DANGER
Risk of injury! Hot surface.
Danger of personal injury when touching or approaching the exhaust air opening or the
inspection hole (optional) due to burning or scalding, in particular to the eyes, due to
infrared radiation or pulling.
4.4.2.
Notes
Keep your face or eyes at least 40 cm away from exhaust air opening or the inspection hole (optional).
Do not grasp or insert objects into the exhaust air opening or the inspection hole (optional).
If necessary, only look briefly through the exhaust air opening or the inspection hole (optional) and use
suitable safety inspection glasses that are suitable for infrared radiation. Only use goggles that specifically
protect against infrared radiation.
When the kiln is hot, unauthorized persons are not allowed to stay near the exhaust air opening or the
inspection hole (optional).
Mind the pulling effect on the exhaust air opening or the inspection hole (optional), when opening the
inspection hole and an air opening at the same time or while the inlet and exhaust air openings are open at
the same time.
A sealing plug is supplied with each the exhaust air opening and the inspection hole (optional). If your
burning behavior allows it, keep the exhaust air opening closed.
The inspection hole must always be kept closed when not in use.
5.
Start-up
5.1.
Delivery & unpacking of the kiln
The ROHDE Toploader will usually be delivered on a pallet by a freight-forwarding agent. Immediately after delivery
check the packaging for any visible damage. Should you detect any damage, unpack the pallet together with the
driver and check the goods again for damage. If you detect any damage, please enter details on the delivery note
and let the driver countersign your remarks. Keep one copy of the complaint for yourself. Inform the freight
forwarding agency immediately of the damage. Complaints submitted at a later date cannot be taken into
consideration.
5.2.
Disposal of the packing material
Contribute to a clean environment by disposing of wood, cardboard and plastic packaging material in your nearest
waste disposal plant. For further information concerning the disposal of packaging material please contact your
dealer or community council.
