Intended Use
The 3D Magnets are intended to be used with Advanced Bionics' UHP 3D, UHP
3D Plus or AquaMic 3D headpieces.

Description of the Device
The 3D Magnet is a removable magnet that is available in five different configura-
tions, each of which offers different strengths to ensure retention between the
cochlear implant and the headpiece. A foam spacer is affixed to the magnet to
ensure a secure fit inside the headpiece magnet well. Arrows on top of the magnet
indicate the magnet strength and help to orient the magnet in the general upward
direction within the headpiece. An additional 3D Headpiece Foam Spacer is
provided to be used with the smallest strength 3D Magnet (one arrow). The 3D Color
Cap Removal Tool includes a magnetic bottom to assist with the magnet placement
in the headpiece and a tip to aid in the removal of the headpiece color cap.
