1.2 Conventional use
The compressor is designed for generating
and storing compressed air only. Com-
pressed air is only suitable for compressed
air tools/devices/machines.
Any other type of use is considered contrary
to the intended use.
The compressor must not be used in poten-
tially explosive areas. Combustible, caustic
or toxic gases must not be sucked in!

With version UNM STS ... XDK:
1.6.1 With compressed air cold dryer

1. Fold up safety bar (SB).
2. Push slide (S) slowly inwards so that
compressed air is slowly applied to the
compressed air cold dryer.
3. Important: Fold down safety bar (SB)
for locking slide.
1.6.2 Without compressed air cold dry-
er

1. Fold up safety bar (SB).
2. Pull slide (S) slowly outwards.

1.7 Maintenance
1.7.1 Checking, setting and adjusting
the V-belt tension
Checking V-belt tension:
See instruction manual, part 2.
Setting/Adjusting V-belt tension:
1. Mark the position of the electric motor on
the base plate between the motor and
the compressor unit.
2. Slacken the four mounting screws on the
electric motor (Fig. 7b) and slide the mo-
tor towards the compressor unit. Do not
tilt the electric motor.
3. Take off the V-belt.
4. Slide back the electric motor approx. 2
mm over the mark. Make sure that the
V-belt disc and fan wheel are aligned
