Assembling the fork

Preliminary work
–
Raise the motorcycle using a work stand at the rear (see repair
manual).
–
Clamp down the rear of the vehicle.
–
Remove the front fender (see Owner's Manual/repair manual).
–
Remove the fork legs (see repair manual).
Disassembling the fork legs
The operations are the same on both fork legs.
–
Clamp the fork leg.

Loosen screw cover
Ring wrench (T14091)
Info
The screw cap cannot be removed yet.
–
Unclamp the fork leg.
–
Drain the fork oil.
–
Unclamp the fork leg with the axle clamp.
Guideline
Use soft jaws.

Remove screw with the washer.
Info
Place a collecting container underneath as some oil
will usually still run out.
–
Remove the cartridge.
