To set the monitor in Windows for Workgroups:
1. At the DOS prompt (C:\), run the video card in-
stallation software to program the refresh rates to
be output by the card when the system is using
Windows.
2. Run the Windows Setup program in Windows or
DOS to change the video drivers to VGA.
See the "Entering new timings" section of this
manual to verify that the graphics mode and tim-
ing frequency you are trying to use are supported
by this monitor.
Check the video connector on the monitor signal
cable for any pins that might be bent or pushed in.
Make sure the video cable is not damaged in any
way.
Use the monitor's self-diagnosis function to check
for any other problems. To use the self-diagnosis,
power down the monitor, then press and hold the
power switch until three color bars appear. During
this time, you should see the power indicator light
begin to blink (after about five seconds), then the
screen should turn white and a display of three
colored bars (red, green, and blue) appears in the
middle of the black display. If you observe these
conditions, the monitor is working properly.
Adjust the contrast and brightness controls to improve
the image. See the "Screen controls and functions"
section of this manual.
