4. USE OF THE BALANCE
Weighing function
Once the balance is warmed up and calibrated, it will stay in weighing mode showing
on display 0.0g or 0.00g.
Put the sample to be weighed on the pan and when stable the weight of the simple will
be displayed.
Tare function
1.
Place a recipient on the pan; its weight will be displayed.
2.
Press TARE key to change the value on display to 0.0g or 0.00g; this indicates
that the weight of the recipient has been deducted.
3.
Place the object or substance to be weighed in the recipient and when the
balance stabilizes its weight will be displayed.
Piece counting function
1.
Remove any substance or object from the pan and press TARE key to change
displayed value to 0.0g or 0.00g.
2.
Press PCS key to enter in counting mode; display will successively show "-
-COU- -", "- - - -" and "10" (nº reference nº of pieces by default).
3.
Press CAL key to select the desired reference number of pieces (10, 20, 50, 100,
150, 200, 250 or 500).
4.
Place the corresponding number of pieces on the pan and press PCS key to save
setting.
5.
Remove the pieces from the pan and the balance is ready to be used in piece
counting mode (weighing unit will change from g to pcs).
Note: In counting mode, the weight of the pieces must be even and the weight of an
individual piece should not be less than the readability of the balance.
6.
Press PCS key to return to weighing mode.
Weighing unit selection
Press UNIT key to select the desired weighing unit among g (grams), ct (carats), oz
(ounces) y lb (pounds).
The weighing unit by default is g.
Overload
The weight of the sample cannot exceed the rated maximum capacity of the balance;
when exceeded, the upper line "
immediately to avoid damages in the balance.
