INFORMATION
The daily duration of use and period of application are generally determined by the physi­
cian.
The initial fitting and application of the product must be carried out by qualified personnel.
Instruct the patient in the handling and care of the product.
Instruct the patient to see a physician immediately if any exceptional changes are noted (e.g.
worsening of the complaint).
4.1 Size Selection
1) Measure the waist circumference approx. 2 cm above the iliac crest.
2) Determine the orthosis size (see size chart).
4.2 Fitting and Application
CAUTION
Incorrect or excessively tight application
Risk of local pressure and constriction of blood vessels and nerves due to improper or excess­
ively tight application
Ensure that the product is applied properly and fits correctly.
NOTICE
Use of a worn or damaged product
Limited effectiveness
Before each use, check the product for functional reliability and for possible wear or dam­
age.
Do not continue using a product that is no longer functional, or that is worn or damaged.

The patient is standing.

Open all hook-and-loop closures on the orthosis.
1) Place the orthosis around the back in such a way that the coil springs of the orthosis come to
rest in the centre of the back.
2) Hold tight the two ends of the orthosis by the lower edge and pull to the front (see fig. 1).
3) Pull the right end of the orthosis over the left end, so that the hook-and-loop closures are on
top of each other.
4) Pull the narrow hook-and-loop straps to the front (see fig. 2).
5) Optional: Before closing them, pull the hook-and-loop straps up or down in order to vary the
pressure on the back.
6) Close the narrow hook-and-loop straps in front of the abdomen (see fig. 3).
5 Cleaning
NOTICE
Use of improper cleaning agents
Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents
Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents.
Clean the orthosis regularly:
1) Remove all coil springs.
2) Fasten all hook-and-loop closures.
3) Recommendation: Use a laundry bag or net.
4) Wash the orthosis in warm water at 40 °C with standard mild detergent. Do not use fabric
softener. Rinse thoroughly.
