2T/4T mode
TIG welding (4T mode)
The starting current and the end current can be preset. This function can compensate for the possible crater
that appears at the beginning and end of welding, so 4T is suitable for welding medium thickness sheets.
Is - preset welding current value
A - Pressing and holding the torch button
B - Arc ignition
C - Initial current
D - Releasing the torch button
E - Pressing and holding the torch button
F - Final current
G - Releasing the torch button
H - Arc extinction
Description of each event on the graph:
• 0: Pressing and holding the torch button. The shielding gas starts to flow;
• 0 ~ t1: Gas pre-flow;
• t1 ~ t2: The arc strikes and reaches the set start current. This period lasts as long as the burner button is
held down;
• t2: The torch trigger is released. The starting current increases to the welding current;
• t2 ~ t3: The welding current increases to the set value. The rise time can be adjusted;
• t3 ~ t4: Welding process. At this time, the torch switch is released;
Note: It is possible to weld with a constant current value or using the PULSE function.
• t4: Welding trigger button is pressed again. The welding current starts to decrease.
