In the event the indoor unit is stopped for a prolonged period, with the
fan stopped and circulation of cold water in the heat exchanger, conden-
sation may also form on the unit's exterior. In this case it is advisable to
install the 3-way (or 2-way) valve accessory in order to stop the flow of
water in the coil when the fan is stopped.
During wintertime periods of quiescence, drain water from the system,
to prevent ice from forming. If anti-freeze solutions are used, check for
their freezing point using the table below.

Electrical connections
Make the electrical connections with the power supply disconnect-
ed, in accordance with current safety regulations, and following the
base wiring diagram from p. 61 and pertinent legend p. 14.
NOTE: the electrical wiring must always be positioned on the oppo-
site side of the plumbing connections.
Check that the mains electricity supply is compatible with the voltage
shown on the unit rating plate.
The electrical connections indicated must be made by the installer.
For each fan coil a switch (IL) should be mounted on the power supply,
with opening contacts at a distance of at least 3 mm and a suitable pro-
tection fuse (F).
WARNING! Electrical wirings for accessories, controls and valves are

available on FC66006858 manual by scanning QR code in p. 61.

MOUNTING BASE UNIT AND COVER CABINET
Upon receipt of the unit, check the integrity of the package:
Ū Remove the air filter unscrew the 2 fastening screws 11.13 p. 60
for ESTRO FL and ESTRO FP. For ESTRO FU remove filter unscrew the
2 screws on frontal grill 11.12 p. 60.
Ū Remove the cabinet by unscrewing the 4 fastening screws reachable
through the lifted side doors on the upper grill. 11.7 p. 58.
Ū Remove the protecting spacers (useful for transport only) from the
5
CHECKS BEFORE STARTUP
Ū Check that the unit is levelled as need and that the drainage outlet
is not clogged (by masonry debris, etc.)
Ū Check that the unit is installed in such a way as to guarantee the
proper air flow.
Ū Check the tightness of the plumbing connections (to the exchanger
and condensate drainage line).
Ū Make sure the electric wires are tightly connected (carry out this
check with the power supply OFF).

Ū For the ceiling installation ESTRO FU, ESTRO FC, ESTRO FP and ES-
TRO FF make sure that the installation height doesn't exceed the

maximum indicated in figure 11.10 p. 59, to avoid an excessive
hot air stratification in the upper part of the room.

case of greater installation heights we suggest to proceed with
the back suction from the lower part of the room.
The installation heights shown in the figure refer to the maximum run-
ning speed.

WARNING:
recess-mounted models ESTRO FC and ESTRO FF de-
vices mustn't be accessible to the public.
The air outlets should not be placed immediately under a socket. For the
flush-mounted model ESTRO FC, ESTRO FF perform the connection be-
1,00
tween the fan coil and the ducts, and place damping material between

the duct and the unit.
All ducts, especially the outlet ducts, must be insulated. To avoid risks of

air recirculation on fan coil, keep a minimum distance between air inlet
1,15
and air recycle, as shown in figure 11.11 p. 59.

to provide accessibility to unit.
Heat exchanger rotation
The exchanger connections can be switched over to the opposite side by
carrying out the following steps 11.8 p. 58:
1. remove the unit's front panel (4 screws), or the main drip tray for the
models with ceiling installation;
2. remove the heat-exchanger cover (1) (2 screws);
3. remove the heat exchanger mounted on the base unit side panels,
unscrew slightly the 4 screws (2) on the back of heat exchanger;
4. disconnect the motor cables from the terminal board
5. remove the terminal board and mount it on the opposite side panel;
6. remove the rubber snap bushing;
7. remove the drain pipe and place it on the opposite side;
8. set the drop breaker pipe in the place of the closing cap of the drip
tray;
9. turn the heat exchanger by 180° on vertical plane and aligning the
shoulders of the battery with the mounting holes through which it
was previously placed in place;
10. insert it on the side panel removing the pre-cut slots;
11. reposition the heat-exchanger cover on heat exchanger on the bot-
tom part;
12. fix the back of heat exchanger on base unit with screws;
13. insert the rubber snap bushing into the hole previously used for the
drain pipe, reassemble the cable fastener on the side panel and in-
sert the cables;
14. restore the electrical connections, refer to the electrical diagrams
from: p. 61;
15. reassemble the unit's front panel (4 screws), or the main drip tray for
the models for ceiling installation;
16. close the manifold through-holes, no longer used, with drip proof
material.
Ū Make sure that air has been eliminated from the heat exchanger.
Ū Reapply the cabinet and filter
Ū Power the fan coil and check its performance
