4. Plug the ignition adapter into the NE receptacle on the HF
surgical device.
5. Press the Purge button of the argon plasma coaguation de-
vice.
6. Hold the tip of the APC applicator / the APC probe at a dis-
tance of 1 – 3 mm toward the middle of the ignition adapt-
er.
7. Activate the APC applicator / APC probe. The argon plasma
must ignite.
Once the plasma has ignited, it normally ignites without delay for
subsequent activations.
8. Now connect the neutral electrode to the HF surgical device.
3.2 What should you do if the argon plasma does not
ignite?
1. Check the argon flow. Is it sufficient? Gas flow rate at least
1.5 l / min.
2. Check the connection to the HF generator. Is this OK?
3. Inspect the tip of the APC applicator / the APC probe. Is it
burned off, plugged, or soiled? In this case take a new APC
applicator / a new APC probe.

Cleaning, disinfection, sterilization
4.1 Safety instructions
Not suitable for cleaning using an ultrasonic bath.
Never use sharp objects for cleaning.
Disinfectants must be rinsed off thoroughly after use.
Maximum air pressure during drying: 2 bar.
Maximum water pressure during rinsing: 2 bar.
