G
WARNING
Check that the roof box and the basic carrier bars or basic carrier
bars for rails are securely attached before every journey and also
during long journeys.
Repeat these checks at regular intervals depending on the road
surface conditions and after 621 miles (1,000 km) of continuous use
at most.
Do not use the roof box if it is damaged or faulty. There is a risk of
the roof box coming loose and thus injuring you or others and/or
causing material damage, including to your vehicle.
For safety reasons, fit the roof box on the side facing away from the
traffic. If two roof boxes are fitted, pay attention to road and traffic
conditions when loading and unloading.
Align the roof box parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
Note
To avoid wind noise, the cover strips included in the items ordered with
basic carrier bars or basic carrier bars for rails can be used.
