interfere with the pneumatic components of the
unit.
Grounding the unit
Warning!
• The unit must be properly grounded to avoid
electrostatic discharge.
Ground the unit properly using the yellow-green
grounding cable. Connect the grounding cable
to a proper ground circuit according to local
regulations.
Ventilation and Capture@Source
DRESTER ACE units use Hedson's Capture@
Source high-speed extraction to capture harmful
emissions close to their source, minimizing user
exposure and solvent loss. The discreet vents
of Hedson's Capture@Source help keeping the
workspace open and easily accessible.
The unit can be ventilated in two ways. For both
options, the air flow speed at the opening of the
hood must comply with local laws and regulations.
Warning!
• The ventilation must be connected so that all
parts are grounded.
Option 1: If using the built-in ventilation nozzle,
connect the flange of the hood (1) to a ventilation
system approved for Zone 1.
Option 2: Connect the hood to an ATEX approved
electric ventilator using a metal ducting. The

exhaust from the ventilator must be led outdoors.
When using a central ventilations system the built
in pneumatic extractor can be disconnected in
order to reduce compressed air consumption.
