ADJUSTMENTS
WARNING
Adjusting Positive Stops
Your saw is equipped with positive stops for fast and accurate positioning of the saw blade at
90° and 45° to the table.
Adjusting 0° Positive Stop (Fig .21 and Fig . 22)
1. Turn the elevation wheel clockwise and raise the blade to its maximum height.
2. Loosen the blade bevel lock lever and push the elevation wheel to the left as far as
possible; tighten the blade-bevel-lock lever (Fig. 21).
3. Place a combination square on the table with one end of the square against the blade as
shown in Fig. 22 and check to see if the blade is 90° to the table. If the blade is not 90° to
the table, loosen the blade-bevel-lock lever, loosen the 90° adjustment screw with a 10mm
wrench (not included), loosen the 90° bevel-stop plate, and push the elevation wheel until
the blade is 90° to the table.
4. Tighten theblade-bevel-lock lever, rotate the bevel-stop plate until it touches the releasing
pin, then tighten the 90° adjustment screw.
5. Loosen the pointer screw using the Phillips end of the Double-Ended Allen Wrench
(included) and adjust the pointer to indicate 0° on the bevel scale.
Adjusting 45° Positive Stop (Fig .21 and Fig .23)
1. Turn the elevation wheel clockwise and raise the blade to its maximum height.
2. Loosen the blade-bevel-lock lever and push the elevation wheel to the right as far as
possible; tighten the blade-bevel-lock lever.
3. Place a combination square on the table with one end of the square against the blade as
shown in Fig. 23, and check to see if the blade is 45° to the table. If the blade is not 45° to
the table, loosen the blade-bevel-lock lever, loosen the 45° adjustment screw with a 10mm
wrench (not included), loosen the 45° bevel-stop plate, and push the elevation wheel until
the blade is 45° to the table.
4. Tighten the blade bevel lock lever, rotate the 45° bevel-stop plate until it touches the
releasing pin, then tighten the 45° adjustment screw.
