6. OPERATION
Connecting the discharge line
• Screw the standard connector
• Assemble the discharge line onto the standard connector
Connecting the power supply and operation
• Open any shut-off valves in the discharge line (accessories, water stop, etc.) so that any air in
the intake line can escape.
• Connect the power cable to an earthed 220-240V 50Hz power supply (10 amp fuse minimum).
• Lift and hold the discharge hose at least 1m vertically above the pump (to prevent any flow
medium from escaping from the pump via the discharge hose). Press the on/off switch. The
pilot lamp inside the switch will light up when motor is switched on. Put down the discharge
hose after the pump has primed.
NOTE: The maximum self-priming head of 8m is only achieved if
the pump is filled until it overflows via the filter chamber and the
discharge hose is held at least 1m higher, so that no water can escape via the
discharge hose.
During operation
• The motor is protected against overheating by an integrated thermostat. In the event
of overheating, the thermostat will automatically switch off the pump. The pump will
automatically restart after it has cooled down.
• Depending on the suction height and the amount of air in the intake line, priming can take
anywhere between 1 to 5 minutes. If it takes longer than this, the pump should be refilled
with water. Always remove the plug from the socket before refilling!
• Once the max. pressure is reached, the pump will switch off automatically. When the pressure
falls below the minimum value due to water being drawn off, the pump will switch on again
automatically.
• If at any time after use the pump to be removed, it must always be refilled with water
whenever it is powered up and used again.
