Many thanks for choosing this car/truck power
adapter. It allows the safe and reliable operation of
portable electronic devices from 12V - 32V on-board
power supplies in cars, lorries, boats, RV's etc.. The
DC adapter fulfils two basic functions: (1) charging
and powering of the device through transformation of
the on-board voltage (11-32V). (2) Protection of the
connected device against interference.
Operation
Connect, as in picture 1, the plug (2) of the car adapter to the DC-IN plug of
the device. Follow the device manufacturer instructions for operation with
external power supplies. Plug the cigarette lighter adapter (1) into the
vehicle's interior power supply (cigarette lighter). Ensure that all connections
are firm and are plugged in correctly.
Using the USB port
The car/truck power adapter has a 5 Watt USB charging port on the side. It
delivers 5VDC and 1A max.

Safety instructions
Safeguard from moisture, respect operating and storage temperature

limits (see technical data).
Do not subject to direct heat or direct sunlight (window sill). Do not

cover. Do not place upon or next to heat sensitive materials (eg. floor
coverings).
Do not open or modify, there are no user serviceable components or

safety elements inside; otherwise the guarantee and warranty will be
void.
The input fuse is integrated in the CLP and non-changeable. In case of

failure, the RRC-SMB-CAR is not repairable.
Only use the car adapter with the specifically defined device(s) for

which it has been designed.
Only connect the car adapter to the above mentioned on-board power

supplies.
Caution: In case of a bad connection, the metal contacts in the

cigarette lighter connector can become very hot. It may be possible to
burn yourself!
Do not leave the car adapter unattended whilst in use.

Use only in the controlled environment.

Do not use in a harsh environment.

Do not use under the car floor mat.

Do not manipulate the supply cable or the output cable.

Do not operate the unit with a damaged cord or if the unit has been

dropped or damaged.
Do not bend the power cord forcibly or place a heavy object on it. This

will damage the cord and may cause fire or electrical shock.
