SETTING BEVEL ANGLE
The Fence (1) has 90°
travel, with indents for
quick and easy setting at
22.5°, 45° and 67.5°. To
set the angle required:
1. Loosen the Fence Angle
Locking Knob (8)
2. Rotate the fence to the
required angle setting
on the Angle Guide (9)
3. Tighten the fence angle locking knob so that the fence
is secured in position
NOTE: Check the fence is securely locked in position
before drilling; failure to do so may result in damage to the
workpiece or the machine
USING THE PLExIGLASS VIEWER
• The three lines on the Plexiglass Viewer (2) identify:
- The centre line of each drill bit
- The centre line between the two drill bits
• Use these markings to accurately align the drill with the
set-up marks on your workpiece
NOTE: The Triton Double Dowelling Jointer produces holes
spaced at exactly 32mm, making the tool compatible with
'System 32' cabinetmaking philosophy – ideal for creating
neatly spaced rows of holes in cabinet walls
ADjUSTING DRILLING DEPTH
• The Depth Adjustment
Guide (7) enables you
to set a drilling depth of
0 - 40mm
• Use the scale on the
guide to set the required
depth
• Whenever drill bits
are changed or new
bits fitted, the Depth Gauge (6) must be zeroed. See
'Zeroing the depth gauge' for guidance
1. Loosen the locking knob of the Depth Adjustment Guide
(7) so that the Depth Adjustment Guide (7) can slide
back and forth
2. Position the guide so that the required depth (on the
GB
scale) is aligned with the centre arrow on the Depth
Gauge (6)
3. Tighten the locking knob to secure the depth
adjustment guide in the required position

ADjUSTING DRILLING HEIGHT
The rack and pinion fence height adjustment mechanism
allows adjustment of the drilling height from 9mm to
43mm
1. Loosen the Fence Height
Locking Screw (13)
2. Rotate the Fence Height
Adjustment Knob (14) to
raise or lower the fence
3. Align the black arrow on
the height adjustment
mechanism with the
height required on the
adjacent scale
4. Tighten the fence height locking screw to secure the
fence at the required height
HANDLING WHEN DRILLING
Always use two hands when drilling:
• Hold the body of the machine in one hand, with the
thumb resting comfortably on the On/Off Switch (12)
• Press down on the front of the Fence (1) with your other
hand to hold the machine in position, ensuring the
entire front plate remains flat on the workpiece whilst
the holes are drilled
GRIPPER PINS
• The Gripper Pins (11) are spring loaded to help stop the
tool from moving laterally during operation
• If you feel that there is a chance that the gripper pins
might scratch your work, rotate the pins approximately
a quarter of a turn and push them back behind the face
front plate
• One pin turns to the right and the other to the left
SWITCHING ON AND Off
1. To activate the dowelling machine, press the rear of the
On/Off Switch (12) and slide forward
2. To turn off, release the on/off switch
