Introduction
To get the most out of your new pressure
cooker, please read through these
instructions before use.
Please also save the instructions in case you
need to refer to them at a later date.

The pressure cooker gets very hot during
use and pressure forms inside the pressure
cooker. Always ensure the pressure is
released as described under Equalising the
pressure before opening the lid!
Do not modify the pressure cooker in any
way. Use original spare parts only!
The pressure cooker may be used by
children over 8 years old and people with
reduced sensitivity, or a physical or mental
disability, as long as they are supervised or
have been instructed in use of the appliance
in a safe manner and have thus understood
the associated risks. Children must not play
with the pressure cooker. Cleaning and
maintenance must not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.
When the pressure cooker is in use, it should
be monitored continuously. When the
pressure cooker is in use, any children near
it must not be left unattended. This pressure
cooker is not a toy.
The cooking zone must be entirely level and
no larger than the diameter of the pressure
cooker.

The pressure cooker must always contain at
least 0.25 litres of water when you use it to
ensure that steam pressure can form inside
it.
When cooking meat or poultry, fi ll with at
least 0.5 litres of water, and at least 1 litre of
water if the cooking time is more than 15
minutes.

The pressure cooker must be no more
than 2/3 full when cooking foods that do
not expand during cooking (e.g. meat or
vegetables).
The pressure cooker must be no more than
1/3 full when cooking foods that expand
during cooking (e.g. cereals or rice).
Check before use each time that the gasket
is correctly positioned and that it is not
worn, cracked or damaged.
Before use
Wash all parts thoroughly in hot soapy
water, rinse under running water and dry.
To avoid the pressure cooker giving off a
smell or taste, fi ll with 0.5 litres of water and
allow it to heat up for half an hour. Pour the
water away.
