Securing the cutting attachment
Fit 70 mm (2.8 in) diameter thrust
N
washer (2) – convex side must face
up.
Fit the guard ring (3) for brush
N
knives – opening must face up.
Block the shaft.
N
Screw on the nut (4)
N
counterclockwise and tighten it
down firmly.
WARNING
If the mounting nut has become too
loose, fit a new one.
NOTICE
Remove the tool used to block the shaft.
Removing the cutting attachment
Block the shaft.

Unscrew the mounting nut

clockwise.
Pull the cutting attachment with its
N
mounting hardware off the gearbox.

Check that the stop for circular saw

blades is already mounted to the
machine – if not, perform the next
two steps.
Remove grass shield – if fitted.

Remove deflector – if fitted.

Mount limit stop for circular saw

blades.
Fit the 65 mm (2.6 in) diameter
N
thrust plate.
Check direction of rotation of cutting
attachment
Cutting edges of circular saw blades
must point clockwise.
