*WARNINGS ABOUT THE ACCURACY OF THE INSTRUMENTS
The tolerance and measurement capability depend on the light conditions and the target surface.
Examples of unfavorable factors that can lead to measurement errors :
- Surfaces are not suitable for correctly reflecting the laser beam
- 100% reflective target but very bright background
- Glass, water, polished metals
- Raw plaster, insulating materials
- Rough surfaces
- Orienting the laser beam at an angle to the target
- Measurements against the light, high humidity
- Temperature <0°C and > 40°C
Measurement tolerances under favourable measurement conditions: ± [2 + C x D(m)].

D = Measured distance
C = Correction constant equal to :

Dimensions
- 0.15 for measurements between 0.10 and 10 m
- 0.20 for measurements between 10 and 30 m
- 0.25 for measurements between 30 and 100 m
- 0.30 for measurements over 100 m
Under very unfavourable conditions, the maximum measuring capacity can be reduced by up
to 50 %.
Caution: Indirect measurements, obtained by processing mathematical formulae using direct
length or angle measurements, are necessarily less accurate. They are, however, a valuable aid
in obtaining an estimated value quickly and safely. For more precise values, it is recommended to
repeat the measurements using the direct method.
For best results, we recommend the use of a professional tripod, remembering to start the measure-
ment from the position of the thread on the back of the instrument, if it has one.
The inclinometer included in the instrument is used to facilitate the orientation of the beam during
the measurement (usually horizontal or vertical). It is not recommended to use the inclinometer as
a precision goniometer.
