1.1.3 Warnings on the battery cabinet
The warning label must be attached to the battery
cabinet and must be clearly legible.
If required, a new warning label for the battery
cabinet can be obtained from the manufacturer
CEMO.

1.2 Legal requirements

Important!
There are no legal provisions for the stor-
age and handling of lithium batteries.
If necessary, the requirements of the
property insurance companies or require-
ments regarding fire protection (build-
ing authorities, fire service) must be
observed.
For the storage of hazardous goods, vari-
ous national legal framework conditions
(e.g. maximum quantities, employee
training) must be observed. Therefore,
these instructions make no claim to
completeness. The user must check this
before each setup.
Legal provisions in Germany:
• Ordinance on Hazardous Substances (GefSt-
offV)
• Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health
(BetrSichV)
• Technical Rules for Hazardous Substances
(TRGS, in particular TRGS 510)
• Technical Rules for Operational Safety (TRBS)
According to the German Occupational Safety and
Health Act (ArbSchG), a risk assessment must
be carried out to assess or evaluate the risks as-
sociated with batteries or technical equipment and
devices containing batteries.
Please adhere to the following provisions in par-
ticular:
• the relevant VDE provisions
• the requirements of the fire authority
• general building law and building requirements
• VdS 3103:2019-06 Lithium Batteries Publica-
tions by the German Insurers (GDV e.V.) on the
issue of loss prevention

Transportable batteries are unique in that
they are certified to UN 38.3 (transporta-
tion testing for lithium batteries).
