3. Installation
3.1
Installation location
Make sure that the cabinet is installed in a non-
combustible environment or leave a safe distance
from combustible objects (we recommend at least
10 cm). This distance must be verified in conjunc-
tion with a risk assessment.
Important!
•
The cabinet may only be installed inside a
building.
•
Do not install it in living areas.
•
Do not install it near emergency escape routes.
•
Fire risk. For safety reasons, the top of the
cabinet should be kept clear.
•
Do not place any kind of hazardous materials
in the vicinity of the cabinet (for example spray
cans, flammable liquids etc.).
•
In order to ensure proper installation, the cabi-
net must be installed directly on the floor.
The following applies to operation without
ventilation:
•
Select a ground-level installation location within
the building that allows for rapid evacuation of
the cabinet in the event of damage.
►Tip: The optional set of castors (order no.
11657) can considerably facilitate the evacua-
tion process.
•
The cabinet's evacuation route should be
marked as a restricted area so that the cabinet
can be moved outside quickly in the event of a
fire.
•
The installation location should be in a well-
ventilated room. Consider the amount of smoke
in the event of a fire.
It is generally recommended to connect the cabinet
to a ventilation pipe so that fumes and pressure
surges can be discharged to the outside in the
event of a battery fire.
