Place the MiniLink on a clean, dry cloth and air dry for 2-3 minutes.
For multiple-patient use
Warning: Always clean the MiniLink after removing it from the patient and
before attaching it to the charger. If there is any blood inside the connector,
the MiniLink must be discarded.
Caution: Dispose the MiniLink according to the local regulations for battery
disposal (non-incineration).
Follow this procedure to clean the MiniLink after each patient use.
1.
Wash your hands thoroughly.
2.
Attach the tester to the MiniLink to make sure that NEITHER water NOR
disinfectant NOR alcohol gets inside the connector.
3.
Dampen a clean cloth with a mild liquid soap solution. Wipe the outside of the
MiniLink.
4.
Rinse the MiniLink under warm tap water but do NOT get water inside the
connector. If you get water inside the connector, shake the water out and allow
it to air dry.
5.
Apply 3-4 drops of a quaternary ammonium compound disinfectant (for
example, Cavicide

Hold the MiniLink and rinse with 70% Isopropyl alcohol.
7.
Disconnect the tester from the MiniLink.
8.
Place the MiniLink on a clean, dry, non-shedding cloth and air dry.
9.
Once it is completely dry, place it in a sealed bag labeled with the cleaning
date (see label example below).
Cleaning the MiniLink charger or tester
Caution: The charger and tester are NOT watertight. Do NOT immerse in
water or any other cleaning agent. If liquid gets inside the black connector
of the tester, shake the liquid out and allow to air dry.
