Connection: batteries
The nBox can either be equipped with a set of batteries comprising 2 series-connected lead-acid gel batteries (2×
12 V) or a single lithium iron phosphate battery (24 V).
·
With the nBox S, batteries with a capacity of 10 Ah or 12 Ah can be used.
·
With the nBox L, batteries with a capacity from 12 Ah to 45 Ah can be used.
The nominal voltage of the set of batteries is 24 V DC.
WARNING
Danger of chemical burns from electrolyte!
This system uses batteries containing sulphuric acid electrolyte. Sulphuric acid causes severe chemical
burns on the skin and eyes.

Batteries can only be installed by authorised personnel wearing appropriate protective clothing.

Batteries cannot be drilled into or otherwise damaged.

In case of skin contact with electrolyte: rinse the affected area immediately with water.

Impaired performance and safety of the system.

Other batteries not prescribed here must not be used.

Vehicle starter batteries must not be used.

In the case of centrally supplied emergency lighting systems, batteries with a proven service life of at
least ten years must be used at an ambient temperature of 20°C.

Batteries must be set up and maintained in accordance with EN 50272-2 and the battery
manufacturer's recommendations must be followed.
