Checking wiring
To check the correct wiring, measure the resistance and loop resistance on the devices in the nBox. Enter the
measured values in the Actual value column. Also check for external voltages and eliminate these.
Note
i
Carry out the measurement when the nBox system is disconnected from the power.
Measuring resistance
·
nBox S / nBox L
Resistance
L -> PE
> 1,000 Ω
N -> PE
< 1,000 Ω
Table 6: Resistance for nBox S or nBox L (power disconnected)
·
Output circuits
Resistance
CH1+ ... CH8+ -> PE
> 100 Ω
< 100 Ω

Measuring loop resistance
·
In the nBox on the MBC module
Note
i
w
For this measurement, short-circuit the system bus for the external device that is furthest away from
the nBox.
Resistance
B1 -> B2
Max. 11 Ω

·
nBox MBC (central phase monitor, emergency stop switch)
Resistance
SX+ -> SX-
1,000–1,100 Ω
