Usage
Always observe safety regulations and local ordinances.
All work pieces must be properly fastened. Nails, screws and other objects that can damage
the saw blade must be removed. Do not use the device for sawing asbestos. The dust
particles released by doing so can be hazardous to the health.
Make sure that there is enough space under the work piece for the saw blade. Do not saw
pieces that are thicker than the maximum cutting capacity.
Use only saw blades that are in good condition. Dull, bent or chipped saw blades are to be
changed immediately. Only turn the machine on if a saw blade is inserted.
When working with the machine, always set the protective cover (9) to the lowest position.
Before turning the machine on, make sure that the saw blade is not touching the work piece.
Only bring the compass saw into contact with the work piece once it is switched on.
When operating the saw, always move it smoothly and evenly and do not apply any lateral
pressure onto the saw blade from.
Make sure that the base plate (6) is set solidly on the work piece.
Only remove the saw blade from the work piece once the device has fully stopped. After
switching it off, do not use lateral counter-pressure to slow the saw blade.
Do not touch the saw blade directly after sawing; it can be very heated – danger of burning.
Be aware of the risk of kickbacks. Only put the machine down once it has completely
stopped moving.
The device should not be made damp/wet and is not to be stored in damp or wet conditions.
Angled Cutting
In order to adjust the cutting angle, the screws in the recess of the base plate (6) must be
loosened. Then set the base plate to the desired angle using the cutting angle scale. The
cutting angle can be set to the right or left to 0º, 15º, 30º and 45º. Then screw the screws
tight again.
First test the cutting angle on a scrap piece.
