Make sure that the mains cable does not get caught on the rotating drill bit. Always make
sure that the cable is trailing behind the machine.
Always secure movable workpieces in a vice. Do not hold the workpiece in your hands or
on your legs.
If the drill should jam, immediately release the switch lock and the on/off switch. Set the
turning direction to anticlockwise and carefully turn the jammed bit out of the workpiece.
Do not touch the drill bit immediately after finishing drilling work. The hot drill bit can
cause burns.
Do not use any blunt or damaged drill bits or accessories.
Always hold the device by the insulated hand grip if you are working on surfaces that may
contain electric cables, such as house walls. If you drill into an electrical cable, the
metallic parts of the drill may conduct electricity and give the operator an electric shock.
Intended purpose
The hammer-action drill is a tool suitable for drilling into wood, metal, plastic, and similar
materials, and for hammer-drilling into concrete and masonry. Using the appropriate
accessories, the drill can also be used to stir paint and similar construction materials. Since
the drill's turning direction can be switched between clockwise and anticlockwise, it can also
be used as an electric screwdriver.
