Cutting Metal
For cutting metal, use an appropriate cooling agent for lubrication and adjust your feed rate.
You can find cooling agents in DIY stores and specialty stores. Obtain the necessary
information regarding their usage.
Care and Maintenance
ATTENTION: Unplug the power cord before beginning maintenance or cleaning.
•
The compass saw is almost maintenance-free. Occasional lubrication of the pressure roll
prevents jamming.
•
Clean the housing, saw blade and base plate with a dry towel or brush to remove dust and
shavings.
•
Always keep the ventilation slots open and clean. Clean them with a soft brush.
•
Keep the handle and switch dry and free of oil and grease.
•
Do not use cleaning agents, as they may corrode the housing.
•
Repairs to the saw and the cord are only to be carried out by authorized specialists and
using original replacement parts.
Replacement Parts, Disposing of Power Tools and Environmental Protection
Lost/defective parts are to be replaced only with original replacement parts.
•
If one day your power tool has been used so thoroughly that it must be replaced, or if you no
longer have use of it, you are required to dispose of it at a disposal and recycling centre.
•
Information about collection facilities for your power tool can be obtained from your local
waste management company and/or at your local administrative office.
•
Power tools contain valuable, reusable raw materials. When you bring your disused device
to a collection facility, you are contributing to the recycling of valuable raw materials.
•
Power tools also contain materials that can be hazardous to people and the environment if
they are not properly disposed of.
•
The symbol with the crossed out garbage can stands for the requirement that the
device be disposed of separately at a collection point for power tools and
electronics in order to be recycled.
