Safety recommendations
• Because the IH 045 generates a magnetic field, people wearing a
pacemaker are not allowed to be within 5 m (16ft) of the IH 045 dur-
ing operation. Electronic equipment, such as wristwatches, may also be
affected.
• Follow the operating instructions at all times.
• Ensure that the voltage supply is correct.
• Electrical arcing may occur when a potential difference exists between
the IH 045 and the workpiece. This is not dangerous to human beings
and will not cause damage to the IH 045 or the workpiece. However,
the IH 045 must never be used in areas where there is a risk of explo-
sion.
• Do not expose the heater to high humidity.
• Never operate the IH 045 without a yoke in position.
• Do not modify the IH 045.
• Use proper handling equipment when lifting heavy workpieces (sima-
tool Bearing Handling Tools).
• Avoid contact with hot workpieces. Wear the heat resistant gloves
included in the scope of delivery to handle hot workpieces.
