Changing the mode settings

DISPLAY <LCD or V-OUT/LCD>
• Normally select LCD.
• Select V-OUT / LCD to display indicator both on
the LCD screen and the TV screen.

PROGRAM AE*
Select this item to use the PROGRAM AE
function. See page 44 for details.
P EFFECT**
Select this item to enjoy the picture effect. See
page 40- for details.
D ZOOM <ON/OFF>
• Select ON to activate digital zooming.
• Select OFF not to use the digital zoom. The
camcorder goes back to lOx optical zoom.
STEADYSHOT <ON/OFF>
• Normally select ON.
• Select OFF when you do not have to worry
about camera-shake.
16:9 WIDE <OFF/ON>
Select this item to record a 16:9 wide picture. See
page 42 for details.
• These settings are retained even when the
battery is removed, as long as the vanadium-
lithium battery is charged. As far as the items
without an asterisk are concerned, their
settings return to the default 5 minutes or
more after the battery is removed.
** P EFFECT setting returns to "OFF" when the
power is turned off.

• Estos ajustes se conservan aunque extraiga |
paquete de pilas, siempre que la pila de
vanadio-litio este cargada. En cuanto a los
elementos sin asterisco, sus ajustes recuperj
el valor por omision 5 minutos o mas despu
de retirar el paquete de pilas.
** El ajuste P EFFECT vuelve a "OFF" al
desactivar la alimentacion.
