When you shoot a subject with the light source
behind the subject or a subject with a light
background, use the BACK LIGHT function.
Press BACK LIGHT. The SI indicator appears on
the LCD screen.

Subject is too dark because of backlight.

Subject becomes bright with backlight
compensation.

Be sure to release this adjustment condition by
pressing BACK LIGHT again. The E! indicator
disappears. Otherwise, the picture will be too
bright under normal lighting condition.
This function is also effective under the
following conditions:
• A subject with a light source nearby or a mirror
reflecting light
• A white subject against a white background.
Especially when you shoot a person wearing
shiny clothes made of silk or synthetic fibre, his
or her face tends to become dark if you do not
use this function.
Emplee la funcion BACK LIGHT al filmar sujet
con la fuente de iluminacion situada detras de
ellos o sujetos con fondo luminoso.
Presione BACK LIGHT. El indicador El aparece
en la pantalla LCD.

compensation de luz de fondo.
Despu£s de filmar
Asegurese de cancelar esta condition de ajuste
volviendo a presionar BACK LIGHT. El
indicador IS desaparece. En caso contrario, la
imagen aparecera con demasiado brillo en
condiciones de iluminacion normales.
Esta funcibn tambien es efectiva en las
siguientes condiciones:
• Sujetos con una fuente de iluminacion cercana
con un espejo que refleje la luz
• Sujetos blancos contra un fondo bianco.
Especialmente al filmar a una persona vestida
con prendas brillantes hechas de seda o fibras
sinteticas, la cara tiende a aparecer oscura si no
utiliza esta funcion.
